Determinant Of Pneumonia In Children Under Five Years Old Related To Environmental And Behavioral Factors

Background: Pneumonia is an acute lower respiratory tract infection that affects the lung tissue (alveoli) and single biggest cause of death in children under 5 years old. Several factors pneumonia, namely, environmental factors, individual child behavioral . The purpose this study was to determine relationship between physical home environment behavior with incidence pneumonia children. Methods: This research analytic observational using a Cross Sectional Study design. population all mothers who had aged 0-59 months 2021 total 1,045 people 92 samples were obtained from slovin formula. Results: We found out around 34 children( 37 %) poor lighting, ( floors did not meet requirements, 36 (39.1%) ventilation 20 children(21.7%) family members habit smoking inside house (30.2%) windows opened frequently. results statistical tests Chi-Square Test concluded floors, ventilation, habits opening significantly related p-value 0.00 ; 0.002 0.004; 0.005; 0.015 respectively. Conclusions: Physical house, lighting conditions, do rarely are causes
